I love a good song and a good message in a song. I really love it when I can just get caught up in the music and the words. I start feeling the beat and the rhythm. My heart is singing and dancing with the song. Church services can be like that for me, sometimes I’ll hear a good song and a good message and I get caught up in both. I’m learning to spend more time in God’s Word outside of the church walls and not let my emotions get in the way of or replace my devotion. Emotions can be deceiving, emotions can vary and emotions are generally temporary. When the church service is really good I tend to get emotional or start really feeling it but I’ve discovered church service is even better when I want to be more devoted. I may not always feel good but I want to do good. I want to feed it more than just feel it with a crowd. Good church means I want to worship again, read my Bible again, meditate on scriptures, sermon notes, and live it out. Now that’s what I call Living on Pitch!
James 1:22 (NKJV) says But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving ourselves.
