I love the candy M&Ms especially the peanut ones. I love them but I can’t eat a whole bag of them. I must portion them out to really enjoy them. God’s Word is like that to me sometimes, it’s so good and colorful, so full of truth inside the Word. I can’t really eat the whole Bible even though I want too at times. I have to take it in portions, just like when I’m eating my M&M’s. Today I have something good and sweet to share with you. I want to share my M&M’s and ask you to meditate on the Word of God. Don’t try to eat the whole thing, just take one verse, one chapter, or one phrase at a time and meditate on it. M&M’s to me means mediate and memorize. Here’s a portion I am choosing to meditate and memorize this week. Lamentations 3:21-24 gives me hope for the week ahead. I have blessed assurance because God is faithful. You can too if you just eat a few M&M’s daily.
But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope. The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning, great is your faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, says my soul, therefore I will hope in him. Lamentations 3: 22-24(ESV)
My Prayer: Good morning God, thank you for brand new mercy this day.
