I love candles. Especially ones with a good scent. I love the fragrance they give and the light that flickers from them. I have used the indoor candles and wax fragrances too but it’s not quite the same as a true candle light. Sometimes after a long week I just want to light a candle. Candles are relaxing, they are simple decor and help create an atmosphere. I can read or listen to music by candlelight. This weekend I lost power in my home for two hours. I had to break out my candles to light up the house. I was glad I didn’t have to sit in the darkness that long. I began to think about the many flood and hurricane victims not having power for days. My two hours of being in the dark could not compare. I had just a little light in my home when there was darkness all around me. I began to sing softly this little light of mine I’m gonna let it shine. I thought, sometimes we have to worship in the dark to see the Light. I was alone but not afraid and I thanked God for being my Light and salvation.
The Bible says we are to be lights and I would much rather shine than melt away. May your light shine with confidence, joy, hope, courage and wisdom. May you shine brightly for Christ wherever you go.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 5:16

Wow! Can you believe I had just finished lighting three candles right before I read your post! Timing is everything! Yes, thankful, God has given us light!
