If you don’t have a system in place you will burnout quickly. You will not enjoy your work, you will be tired and you won’t be able to be effective. God doesn’t want us to be burning out in our walk with Him. Maybe your approach needs to change. Start by identifying what’s working and what needs to be changed. As I focus this year I’m watching out for burnout. Busyness without balance can lead to spiritual , mental and physical burnout. Are you taking moments to rest, unwind, think, be more mindful or dare I say pray?

Here is a simple prayer just for you, if you’re starting to feel a little burned out.

Lord, help.

Help me with how I approach this task, this week, this project….etc.

Help me take breaks and recharge

Help me watch out for my reactions to assignments, requests and people

Help me to set boundaries and say no when needed

Help me stay connected to You in difficult times.

Amen.
