How do you start your week? Do you have a certain routine? Do you plan everything out, write it all down, or just visualize it mentally? Most people have some sort of routine to start off their week. As I reviewed my calendar for the week, I started choosing words to go with actions for the busy week.
I chose five words that I could add some action around to create a better routine and they are:
- Kindness – Show it. Be it. Ephesians 4:32 (ESV) says Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
- Focus- Track it. 2 Corinthians 13:5 (ESV) says Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith.
- Love- Give it. Receive it. John 3:16 (ESV) says for God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
- Calmness- Embrace it. Matthew 5:9 (ESV) says blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God.
- Faith- Grow it. Share it. Romans 10: 17 (ESV) says So faith comes from hearing and hearing through the word of Christ.
I’m praying first to start the week off spiritually grounded. My routine this week involves work meetings, singing and rehearsing music, reading, completing projects, being kind, staying focused on God, showing love, seeking peace/ calm and building up my faith. Are you creating action plans to help with your spiritual growth or just going through the daily routines of life? Now that’s what I call living on pitch.
