![Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. [1 Thessalonians 5:16-18]:](https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/cf/46/1f/cf461f2e46c93cba51530fde3e972321.jpg)
I walked out of the office building from a full day of work. I arrived at my car and drove out of the parking structure. I felt good, really good about today’s work. It was productive but something about the work was different. I was not worried about the caseload that was staring back at me on my computer screen, I offered to help the new employees get access to their systems, I smiled through a difficult e-mail conversation and I accepted an apology offered by a manager. It was the same tasks but a different approach in attitude. I was full of gratitude. I had God with me on the job and I was determined to worship Him in every way while I was at work. When I stop to thank God for every difficult person, every assignment, challenging project, misinterpreted e-mails and/or phone conversation my attitude changes. I learned sometimes I just need to add a little more gratitude with my attitude. I’m learning to just give thanks in everything. When I am complaining too much I need to add more gratitude. When I’m expressing anger, fear and worry or frustration with a situation, I need to add gratitude in order to change my attitude. I am living on pitch at work and I represent Christ both on and off the job. It’s a day-to-day effort and worth it in order to do God’s will. How do you give thanks in everything?
I Thessalonians 5:16-18 ESV
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
